CRHRDC endorses entries for the PNHRS Week

The Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week celebration will take place on August 13-16, 2019 in Cagayan de Oro City. This national activity is much anticipated by the health research community and stakeholders from the different regions.

One of the activities included in the PNHRS Week is the Oral and Poster Presentations for the professional and student categories. Each region will be submitting their respective entries to the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) for the final screening.

The Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) conducted the deliberation of papers from the winning entries during the 8th Regional Health Research Conference and will be endorsing the following to PCHRD:

PODIUM – STUDENT CATEGORY:

Tooth Buddy mobile application as means of promoting oral health education to children three to six years old (University of Baguio)

PODIUM – PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY:

Effectiveness of complementary medicine, quercetin, combined with standard of care in the treatment of patient with acute dengue fever: An open label randomized controlled trial (Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center)

POSTER – STUDENT CATEGORY:

Occupational health practices among garbage collectors (Pines City Colleges)

POSTER – PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY:

Inhibition of quorum sensing in methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa by Calvatia ssp. ethanolic extract (Saint Louis University)

These studies will still undergo the evaluation of PCHRD. Qualified entries for the PNHRS Week will be notified through the Consortium.
