Researchers from the different member institutions of the Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) have gathered once again to partake in this year’s 6^th Regional Health Research Conference with the theme, “Health and Innovations: Empowering and Transforming Communities in the Cordillera Administrative Region” held at the Centennial Hall, University of Baguio, Baguio City on the 28^th of April, 2017.

Through the joint efforts of the Research Utilization Committee (RUC) and Capability Building Committee (CBC) of the Consortium in partnership with the University of Baguio (UB), this event brought together professional and student researchers along with their accomplished health research studies for appropriate dissemination. There were a total of 37 papers qualified for the said Conference: 16 for Podium presentations and 21 for Poster presentations. The total number of participants was 133.

Dr. Rhoda Galangco (UB Research & Development Center; Research Management Committee Member) gave the welcoming remarks for all the participants. This was followed by an inspirational message addressed by Dr. Raymundo Rovillos (Chair of CRHRDC; Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Baguio). Later on, the concluding remarks were imparted by Ms. Virginia Anceno (Chair, RUC) and Dr. Erlinda Palaganas (Chair, CBC).
